Our Logo: Our philosophy to investing is encapsulated by the symbol of overlapping circles that is our logo and namesake: le Fleur de Vie, or the Flower of Life. As a symbol, le fleur represents growth and transformation, a striving to become better. It is our view that sustainable infrastructure investment lays the bedrock for such a positive transformation at the societal level, as meeting basic needs of power, water, and waste management provides a foundation upon which further growth can occur.
Our Approach: We believe the pursuit of attractive risk-adjusted returns can be maintained without compromising on a commitment to sustainability; that investments made through an SRI (socially responsible investing) or ESG (environmental, social, governance) perspective can be successfully melded with best practices from MPT (modern portfolio theory) to both improve the return profile and reduce risk for investors.
Infrastructure investments, particularly those with upfront contracted revenues which reduce cash flow volatility and provide visibility into expected returns, are particularly well-suited for this approach.
